Drum Roll Please... for the Polar Life Pod®!

Now that the sun is shining, the snow has stopped and the days are warm again...  it's time to think about summer! With summer comes the heat, and it's always best to be prepared for any heat-related situation.

Polar Products is proud to introduce the

Polar Life Pod®

The optimal piece of equipment for cold-water immersion!

NEW on-demand immersion system
to assist in rapid cooling of athletes

In 2014, National Athletic Trainers’ Association released an update to their guidelines for managing heat stress in athletes. The NATA Exertional Heat Illness Position Statement identified immersion in cold water as “the most effective way to treat a patient with exertional heat stroke” and recommends cooling the athlete first before transporting.

The Polar Life Pod® is the simplest solution
for immediate cold-water immersion.

The Polar Life Pod® facilitates on-demand cold water immersion and convenient for coaches and athletic trainers to have on the sideline for rapidly cooing overheated athletes. It is made out of a heavy-duty PVC and is capable of fitting athletes up to 7’ tall and weighing up to 400 lbs. The Polar Life Pod® requires only 40-80 gallons of water, depending on athlete size!

The Polar Life Pod® is packaged ready for use in a convenient gym bag.

The Polar Life Pod® stands apart from other available immersion systems. First and foremost, the Polar Life Pod® is designed to be collapsible and portable - it even comes with a convenient gym bag to carry!

Additional features include a floating head supportdigital thermometer to monitor water temperature and a full length anterior 2-way zipper.

The inventor of the Polar Life Pod®, Mike Laycox, ATL, EMT-P, is a Licensed Athletic Trainer, former Paramedic and a Certified Emergency Room RN with over 30 years of clinical sports medicine, emergency room and EMS experience.
